How To Properly Achieve Healthy Permanent Weight

by Beth Hoover

Even though most people regain weight after months or years of extensive exercises, most are optimistic that one day they will permanently have the perfect body they are yearning for. This optimism can be seen from our eagerness to try the latest diet plans, our willingness to buy prescription fat-blockers, or even go the lengths of going under the knife. When the weightloss strategies we try didn't work out, we move on to the next without hesitation. For the foregoing reasons and more, it cannot be denied that the weight loss industry is one of the highest earning industries today.

Unfortunately, as much as we wanted the weight loss products and services we purchase and use to work for us, researches have consistently shown that people tend to use supplements, devices and programs that fall short on their promise to deliver results. Most of the time, these weight loss products and services claim that they can wash away cellulite in just a matter of days. Yet, similar to any fad diet, such quick weight loss solutions will not do you any good because you're only wasting time and money without the assurance of getting results. In the end, when people see that the scales aren't tipping on their desired weight numbers, they then blame themselves about the failures caused by these weightloss strategies and are more likely return to their old habits.

You must take into account that you didn't gain those extra pounds in a day, so you should not expect that you could shed it all off in a day as well. In order to gain healthy permanent weight, you have to work hard enough, focus on your weight goals, and do things little by little. Losing weight quickly can be very dangerous to a person's health. It is more likely that the quick weight loss schemes you are using can put your life at risk because usually they alter how your body takes in essential nutrients, and can make you feel weak and dehydrated.

The foundation of any successful weight loss program is always centered on low calorie diet and exercise. Even though diet is more useful to shed off extra pounds because it is easier to cut on calories than to actually burn them through exercising, the combination of diet and exercise has been recognized as the most effective means to keep healthy weight for a long period. However, saying this is easier than actually putting it into action because as we all know it, dieting and exercising doesn't jive well with our instant gratification instincts. To increase your chances of success of achieving healthy permanent weight, you have to do things gradually; try losing weight no more than 1/2 to one pound a week, and then from there you can considerably lose two pounds per week and so on.

You should also consider that relapses are possible even if you are working hard. Approximately 95% of dieters are more likely to take back the fats they have shed after two or more years. Such thing happens when people return to their old habits, they lose the drive to engage in workouts, or probably they jumped into an extreme weigh loss program that their bodies cannot sustain. With these things in mind, eating healthy foods and exercising for months or years aren't enough to keep healthy permanent weight; you have to incorporate them in your lifestyle.

Your lifestyle changes can start by looking closely at your eating habits and routines. Once you are able to properly identify the issues you are experiencing in these parts of your life, try developing weight loss strategies with a weight professional that could gradually help you redeem yourself from the past challenges that you weren't able to overcome, and set out back up plans that will help you deal with occasional setbacks. It is also important to seek emotional support from you family, friends or your partner. Despite the latest diets, products and weight loss programs that promise fast results, it is always best to engage on strategies that might start slow but will definitely give you permanent results in the end.

Healthy permanent weight can be achieved by gradually incorporating healthy diet and exercise in your lifestyle. It has been well identified that quick weight loss solutions promised by emerging weight loss products and programs can be detrimental to a person's health. Weightloss strategies like these are only good for a while, but the sad truth is that much of the weight you shed in these strategies are actually water and not fat.
